Home Care Provider Registrations

Registration is for caregivers and agencies providing care to someone in their own home, not other care settings. In order to receive claim reimbursement from one of the government payers a caregiver MUST have active, approved status with the Bermuda Health Council.

Care Agencies must have an up to date Provider Advantage Programme (PrAP) Application and approval from the Home Care Team at the Bermuda Health Council.

Types of Caregiving providers

There are three categories of caregiving providers:

  • Personal Caregivers
  • Nursing Associates (Geriatric Aides/Nursing Assistants)
  • Registered Nurses

Caregiving providers must be registered with the Bermuda Health Council in order to provide caregiving services on the island.

How to Register

  • Independent caregivers and employees and contractors of an agency who will be caring for persons in the community must also be individually registered as a home care provider and should visit helpingservice.bm to complete their individual registration process.
