Shellé Hendrickson has over 15 years of healthcare industry experience offering specialized expertise in Hospital Professional Liability, Long-Term Care Organizations and Miscellaneous Facilities.
She was appointed to Head of Healthcare at AXA XL in December 2018. Shellé is responsible for setting, implementing and driving strategies of the Healthcare underwriting unit. Prior to joining AXA XL in October 2013, Shellé launched her career at Allied World Assurance Company, spending over seven years building a solid foundation in medical malpractice underwriting.
Shellé recently completed AXA XL’s 2018 Global Emerging Leaders Program; she was one of 30 candidates out of 7000 employees selected for the program. Shellé is the creator and primary host for the AXA XL Healthcare Risk Insights Podcast series which launched in October 2019.
Shellé was recently appointed to Bermuda Healthcare Council Board. She is also an active alumnus for the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies (BFIS), serving as a board member and on the BFIS Scholarship Committee. Shellé is a graduate of Bryant University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, and has obtained a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
