Ms. Tiara Carlington has worked within Bermuda’s healthcare system since 2008. She worked in a physician’s office where she gained an understanding of health insurance claims adjudication and clinical integration. In 2013 Tiara joined the Health Council as a Project Officer, providing program support to the Health Economist.
In her roles at the Council, Tiara developed an interest in digital design, further expanding her skillset to include strategic infographic development and publication design for conveying policy and public health messaging. Tiara’s understanding of health system governance and capacity development resulted in further expanding her internal roles to include Human Resources, Audit and Governance functions (Corporate Office Coordinator).
As a result of the Health Council’s 2016 organizational restructuring, which saw a more defined separation of Health Economics and Health Regulations, Tiara’s role expanded to Policy Analyst, Data & Research.
Ms. Carlington holds a Master of Science in Immunology (Allergy) and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Southampton (UK).
